Anomalous Crimes Task Force

The Anomalous Crimes Task Force (ACTF) is a subgroup within the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit which deals with the Anomaly.
"Anomalous Crimes Task Force" is the official name of the Shadow Unit.
ACTF was 'founded' in January 2002 [1] when Esther Falkner joined Stephen Reyes in the division down the hall. Before that, Reyes had worked with Solomon Todd "working half in their spare time on the cases nobody else really wanted." [2]
The ACTF works with other branches of the bureau. In Endgames we see the interplay between Reyes and Peter Pauley, a regular BAU agent, over the claiming of a case.
It is unknown how well the ACTF is known outside of the Bureau.
