Anomaly

Whatever it is that turns an alpha into a beta or a gamma (the presence of delta level of mutation has not been confirmed in canon). While there is little concrete evidence for what exactly the Anomaly is, there are multiple models that are useful for thinking about it. There is some debate as to whether or not the anomaly is evolving.
The models include:
- genetic mutation
- parasite/host
- disease or infection
- demonic possession
- brain injury
- virus
