Crack

The damage specific to a person which allows the Anomaly to affect him/her. Cracks seem to be primarily psychological in nature, although severe physical trauma coupled with psychological strain has also been known to bring about a manifestation. Fanaticism is a potential crack.

There is also some evidence that gammas experience two cracks: a primary and a secondary. Originally, this was only mentioned on Chaz's LiveJournal, but it was recently referenced in the episode Lucky Day.

The team speculates on Ada Lovelace as a potential jammer in an entry on Daphne Worth's LiveJournal, with discussion of what might have caused her to convert: [1]
