Emergency!
From Shadow Unit Wiki
Emergency! was an American medical drama series which aired from 1972 to 1977 (along with six made-for-TV movies in 1978 and 1979). It starred Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe as some of the first paramedics in the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and Robert Fuller, Bobby Troup and Julie London as emergency-room staff at Rampart General Hospital.
Influences on Shadow Unit
Emma Bull listed Emergency! as one of the shows which Shadow Unit would "share DNA with" in the essay Sanding the Oyster: The Origins of Shadow Unit.
Since Daphne Worth was born in 1975, it is possible that she saw Emergency! in syndication, and that it helped inspire her to become a paramedic herself.
