Fans are people who are addicted to enjoy Shadow Unit. Masochists, the lot of them, with the exception of the Powers That Be who are sadists as well as fans.

Typical activities of fans include Not Worrying, obsessively refreshing the main website whenever new content is expected, raising shoggoths, reading and commenting on characters' LiveJournals, playing with this Wiki, bashing into the fourth wall and obsessively refreshing the main website whenever new content is expected. In November of 2008, txanne started a collaborative story writing game on the forum. The idea is that each player successively adds three words to the end of the story. After a while it gets really hard to read so the full story in progress got its own page here as 3-word story 1
