Houdini clause

The Houdini Clause is one way the BAU decides to send cases to the ACTF: "If it looked like a stage magician's trick, it went Down the Hall."[1]

Notable Usage of this Jargon

• The shootings in Brattonville, Maryland got there by what the BAU at large called the Houdini Clause. If it looked like a stage magician's trick, it went Down the Hall. (Episode 01x05, "Ballistic" [2])

• Lau nodded to Falkner. She said, "Have we decided it's a host for sure?"
