Idlewood

Ironically, since the public is not welcome, Idlewood is a historic monument, limiting the architectural changes that can be made. [2]
Idlewood was originally a regular insane asylum. Marmaduke Stone's great-uncle Horace Buford was confined there in 1927 after murdering "his wife, her sister, two housemaids and the cook" [3]; thus demonstrating its ability to handle extremely dangerous inmates. When Stone and Karl Demmer captured Clemson McCain, Stone realized that neither a Federal prison nor an ordinary mental hospital would do to keep McCain locked up. Stone "put his job on the line" to get McCain into Idlewood. [4]
