Kay Baylor

Dr. Kay Baylor is a psychiatrist who works for the FBI and is fully knowledgeable about the Anomaly. She is the doctor who performs an evaluation of Daniel Brady, at Stephen Reyes's orders, after Chaz Villette ends up in Johns Hopkins Medical Center following the events in Refining Fire. [1] She is also the psychiatrist that Chaz goes to for help dealing with his PTSD symptoms after he returns from Las Vegas. [2]

It was apparent as of the DVD extra "Vigil 12" that she knew Reyes personally, since she told Brady that Reyes' "level of emotional detachment passes professional and approaches pathological." Later, in the DVD extra "Acronyms", we find out that she is actually Reyes' second wife. Elizabeth Bear shared the last discussion ever between Baylor and Reyes as cohabitants:

Baylor: "Stephen, I love you, I admire you, and you're fantastic in the sack, but if I have to spend one more night under the same roof with you, I'm going to set you on fire just to watch you burn."

Reyes: "I'll pack a bag." [3]
