Manifestation

Manifestation refers to specific abilities granted to a beta or gamma by the Anomaly. There are two major types of manifestation: internal and external.

Internal manifestations are perceptual. They allow the anomaloid to see or know things that they couldn't otherwise. Internal manifestations are indicative of a first-stage beta.

External manifestations are material. They affect someone or something other than the anomaloid himself. External manifestations are indicative of a gamma or second-stage beta. The particular form of the manifestation seems to be tied to some combination of the anomaloid's mythology and the crack that turned the person into an anomaloid.
