Major backstory revealed: Chaz is the result of Adeline Villette's rape by her brother, William Villette. She eventually ended up as a prostitute in Las Vegas and died of a drug overdose. After her death Chaz ended up in a series of foster homes, some of which were horrifically bad. At times he had a difficult time getting enough to eat. Reyes was aware of Chaz's situation but, in the interest of learning more about the Anomaly, did nothing to help the boy.
