Stanley Murchison
From Shadow Unit Wiki
Stanley Murchison is an FBI agent assigned to the Behavioral Analysis Unit. "Blaze" is his nickname, presumably because he moves slowly. He used to be in the United States Marine Corps [1]; after completing graduate school, he joined the FBI. [2]
Hafidha Gates does not like him at all. Daphne Worth chose to ask Peter Pauley to help out with the Danville Vermont Gamma rather than either Murchison or Francis. [3] Stephen Reyes considers him "pure salesguy smarm", although Reyes also admits that he is "damned good at his job, and even better at getting people to underestimate him." [4]
He has a bad habit of swiping food off other people's desks without asking permission; however, he has learned not to do that to Hafidha. He once filched an unguarded cupcake from her desk; her vengeance was to charge "twenty one-pound bags of carrots, thirty pounds of celery, fifteen large cucumbers, seven heads of red cabbage, and two twenty-pound bags of Idaho potatoes" on his Visa card and have them delivered to his office. [5]
We learned his real name in the DVD extra "Sufficient", when Chaz Villette told Daphne that Murchison had been making comments about Chaz: "Villette was always weird, but since he got hurt, he's a fucking basket case."
In the DVD extra "Orientation Day", we learned that he is a Supervisory Special Agent who drew the assignment of giving Arthur Tan an orientation tour when Tan joined the BAU.
His sense of humor "had been reviewed by critics in counterterrorism as 'suspect', 'juvenile', and, in one thrilling rave at Tan's going-away party, 'nonexistent'. " [6]
