Air Dates
When first announced, "Wireless Girl" was scheduled to air on September 5, 2010. As part of the revamped Season 3 and 4 schedule [1], the air date was shifted to April 3, 2011.
On March 30, 2011, Elizabeth Bear announced that "Wireless Girl"'s air date would be delayed two weeks (to April 17) "due to a personal emergency interference from the network relating to an ongoing news story in the public media". [2] On April 16, Emma Bull announced that "Wireless Girl" would air in three parts on successive Sundays:
- Yes, friends, another serial! The last one turned out so well, after all: everyone had fun and went home safe! [3].
On May 1, Emma Bull announced that, due to the WTF Network's coverage of the World Bottle Rocket Championships, part 3 of "Wireless Girl" might air later than expected, and that there would be a Part 4. [4]
Pre-Air-Date Speculation
Elizabeth Bear revealed that "Wireless Girl" was the preliminary title of episode 3x08 in the "Tales from the Monster Zoo" forum thread [5], prior to the Season Three titles being released.
